A toe-tappin’, cider-sippin’, fun-for-everyone arts festival

The Chiaha Harvest Fair celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014, reveling in a rich tradition of bringing together many talented artisans and craftsmen from the Rome/Floyd County region, and beyond, for a wonderful fall weekend festival with the goal of raising money to support local art efforts throughout the year. That tradition continues in 2024!

Artists & Craftsmen

You are invited to apply to exhibit at the 59th Annual Chiaha Harvest Fair, located at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, near downtown Rome, GA

Emphasis of the Show: We strive to provide a well-balanced show of quality crafts and fine arts, exhibited and sold at individual artist booths, combined with a traditional fall festival “flavor” provided by music and food. Profits raised from the festival fund art scholarships and community art projects. The Chiaha Guild is dedicated to promoting the arts and art education.

Kids Activities

We are so excited about the wonderful kids activities and opportunities for children to experience art at Chiaha!

We have a wonderful selection of arts and crafts projects available for kids to try! Local non-profits and businesses offer free or inexpensive projects for kids to try out their artistic flair. Local potter John Johnston offers kids a chance to play with clay at his pottery booth.

Students of all ages have the opportunity to show off their talents in our student art tent. Talk to your art teacher about how to get your work on display at the festival. Or, if you are a prolific young artist and would like to offer your work for sale, contact us to see about getting a booth of your own!

Fair Food

No trip to Chiaha would be complete without stopping in our food court and sampling a culinary treat from one of our many food vendors. Choose from a variety of fair food: southern home cooking, fried pies, ribbon fries, lace cakes, gourmet sandwiches, fudge, homemade cookies, fried pickles, caramel apples, hotdogs, hamburgers and much more. Before you leave for home, don’t forget to pick up a bag of fresh popped kettle corn, popped the old fashion way in a giant copper kettle.
